These rocks and guano hut are at the North end of Wipeout Beach in La Jolla.

Love to paint rocks, they always provide an interesting mix of value and color, especially the rocks in La Jolla.

In the Shade of Crystal Pier

Have long wanted to paint Crystal Pier. Finally got to it. Originally planned to do a scene looking out to sea but when I turned around I came across this fascinating view looking up into the complex structure of the pier. Very challenging, trying not to get lost in all the confusion of beams and columns.

This is also number one of my front yard series.

I am going to see how many paintings I can create just in my front yard.

Came accross this delightful scene.

A very beautiful part of the world.
