Have long wanted to paint Crystal Pier. Finally got to it. Originally planned to do a scene looking out to sea but when I turned around I came across this fascinating view looking up into the complex structure of the pier. Very challenging, trying not to get lost in all the confusion of beams and columns.
One of the historic victorian houses in Heritage Park, near Old Town.
Built in 1893, now a Tea Room and Shop.
Nice collection of interesting shapes in this subject.
That must be why I like old buildings so much.
I was born in Leiscestershire, England in 1957, but grew up in Southern California. I currently live in San Diego. I have always been facinated by fine art and particulary the art of landscape painting. I also enjoy the outdoors, so plein air painting is the perfect activity for me.
